After Wedding Experience stems from first hand experience of what can be the utter madness of a wedding day, often resulting in brides and grooms being ushered around and only having a limited time for photographs. Let’s face it, a wedding day can be very hectic; guests want to see you, your wedding breakfast is at a certain time and Auntie Betty is demanding that photo with all the nieces, nephews, cousins and the dog, and Uncle Bob has disappeared to the bar.

This would never appeal to me as a bride and so I provide a photography service that specialises in photos after the main event, incorporating your life together. So if you have a passion for hill walking, strolling through flower meadows; your life revolves around your family farm or perhaps you spend all your free time on your paddle board and your horse is the third member of your relationship, AWE encapsulates it all.

If you are planning your wedding, got married last year, or you were married 20 years ago, you can relay on AWE to deliver something special. With a relaxed and often fun approach, without the wedding day pressure, your After Wedding Experience could become your Adventure Wedding Experience.

Prices from £300, please get in touch to discuss your ideas and we can find a package to suit your dreams.

What can you expect from this type of wedding photo shoot?

Hannah and Ben:

I met Hannah and Ben at their stunning wedding at New House Farm. Within moments of meeting them Hannah told me how she would have wanted photos hiking up a mountain….. I explained about AWE and she asked if I was available the following day……

After some discussion about possible locations we decided on Coniston Old Man. We arrived through torrential rain to see stunning blue sky with the famous Cumbrian black clouds rolling around the skyscape. We headed up the Old Man, a location already special to Hannah and Ben, accompanied by family and friends. Part way up, Hannah and Ben changed into wedding clothes, assisted by Jesse the dog, (a most important feature of the photo shoot) and we did some shots, with inspiration coming from the ever changing light and stunning landscape.

We continued up to the old mine workings and got what has to be one of my favourite shots of all time, the dark slate in the foreground, Hannah and Ben sharing a moment together and the untamed beauty of the mountains in the background bathed in a stunning golden glow.

I think it is fair to say we all had a fantastic morning. We got some amazing shots, we all had a laugh (Hannah wanting a photo with a sheep is a personal favourite) and memories were made.
